Accurately setting your property's location helps guests find your property and understand the area. Haven uses Google Maps integration to make this process easy.
New streets, unit numbers and addresses in some countries are not always in Google's search. Type it yourself instead:
The address saves as typed and counts as a complete address for accepting bookings. Typing an address does not move the map pin, so drag the pin onto the house afterwards.
If the street address is synced from your PMS, it may be locked. You can still edit Display location — that field is yours.
Display location is the guest-facing location shown under your title on the home page — and, by default, in the site footer — for example "Catskills, New York" or "Fredericksburg, Texas". This is the field to use when you want to add an address or area name to the home page or footer.
It is not the street address. Your public pages (listing, multi-unit site, the source code search engines read) never carry the street address, postal code or precise map pin: they show the town and a map area about 1 km wide. A guest sees the exact address in their arrival guide once it unlocks. To publish the exact address instead, turn on Publish exact address in Sites → SEO (see Exact address).
Leave it blank to use the city and state from your street address. Clearing it returns to that derived label.
To hide the location line from the hero without changing the text, use Home → Hero → Text & style → Show location. That toggle does not set the words.
Home → Contact is public phone, email, and social links — not the location under the title. Footer location is configured in the Footer section on that same Contact tab.
On a multi-unit site, the equivalent field is Display locations under Home → Page. Add one or more area names (up to six); they appear above the title with a location pin (press Enter to add a name — commas stay in the name), and the footer uses the same list.
To hide the location line from the home hero without clearing those names, turn off Show in hero on that same Page row. The same switch also lives under Home → Hero → Text wrap & alignment → Show location.
The site footer shows Display location by default (not the street address).
The words themselves still come from Space → Location → Display location (property) or Home → Page → Display locations (multi-unit). Leave the footer field blank to keep that default; type in the footer field only if you want a one-off override.
When setting your location, consider highlighting:
Your local recommendations (nearby stores, restaurants, things to do, and services) are not in the Location section. They live in Edit Listing → Arrival → Local guide, next to the rest of the guest guide. Haven uses the address you set here to generate them and to place them on the map.
See Local Guide & Recommendations for full details.
