If you run your business out of Guesty, you can keep collecting money there and still take direct bookings on your Haven site. In this mode Haven prices the stay exactly as it prices any direct booking, with your Haven rates, discounts, promotions, discount codes and fees, and the taxes Haven syncs from Guesty. The guest pays that price on your Haven site with a card form in your Guesty payment processor, and the booking lands in Guesty already paid, with the guest's card on file for upsells and incidentals.
It runs over the Guesty connection you already have. There is no extra Guesty API key to create.
This is optional. By default Haven prices and collects every direct booking through Stripe, and nothing about that changes unless you switch it on.
You need:
Haven blocks the option and tells you which of these is missing, rather than switching on and quietly dropping something.
pk_live_). Most hosts have one account. This lets the card form on your site create the payment in the same Stripe account Guesty charges. GuestyPay, Merchant Warrior and HYP need nothing here.It saves as soon as you pick it. The page then leads with your Guesty payouts, and the Stripe section folds underneath it, marked Optional or Required for whatever still needs it. Payouts in the sidebar shows the Guesty mark.
If you change a listing's payment processor in Guesty, press the refresh button next to Guest payments on the Guesty card to see the change.

If the charge is declined, nothing is charged and the guest can try another card. If Guesty takes longer than usual to answer, the guest sees that the payment is being confirmed and can check its status again; they are never offered a second Pay while the first one is unsettled.
| Charge | Who collects it | Who refunds it |
|---|---|---|
| The stay, taxes, and fees | Guesty | Guesty |
| Add-ons the guest bought on Haven | Haven | Haven |
| Screen & Protect | Haven, billed to you | Haven |
| Guest verification | Haven, billed to you | Haven |
A guest who buys an add-on sees two charges on their statement: one from your Guesty payment processor for the stay, one from you through Haven for the add-on, for exactly the add-on total they were shown (no card fee is added). Everything else is a single charge.
If your card is declined for Screen & Protect or verification, or there is no card on file, Haven tries the charge again each day until the stay ends.
haven source. Haven books under the same haven source its other bookings use. The fare and cleaning fee on the reservation are Haven's price, with Guesty promotions switched off for it. Haven's price already includes your discounts, so a Guesty markup or fee that changes what the guest pays makes Haven refuse the booking rather than charge a different amount.Guesty adds its own taxes to every reservation, so the taxes on these listings come from Guesty. Haven syncs them from Guesty and uses them to show the guest the same tax Guesty will charge.
Haven creates the reservation in Guesty with two prices: the accommodation fare and the cleaning fee. Every other fee on the stay (a pet, resort, management or custom fee) goes into the accommodation fare. If one of your Guesty taxes applies to the accommodation fare but not to that fee, Guesty would tax the fee as part of the fare and charge the guest more tax than they were shown. Haven refuses those stays before holding the dates and emails you which tax and fee. To take them, apply the tax to those fees in Guesty (or remove the fee), then choose Re-sync from Guesty in the listing's Taxes section. Stays without the fee are not affected.
In a listing's Taxes section the rules show Synced from Guesty, with a note that Guesty collects payment for the listing. While Guesty collects payment you can't add or edit a tax in Haven, choose Edit in Haven, copy taxes in from another listing, or switch on group taxes, and a property group can't apply its taxes to the listing. You can still delete a tax that was added in Haven, and Re-sync from Guesty still works. Change taxes in Guesty; Haven picks them up.
Choose Haven (Stripe) under How guests pay you. Your listings then need a verified Stripe account to take bookings. Bookings already paid through Guesty keep their history and keep pointing at Guesty for refunds; new bookings go back to Haven's checkout immediately.
The Guesty option is greyed out on Payouts. Haven checks your Guesty setup before letting you choose it, and the note under the choice says what is missing: a listing with no active payment processor in Guesty, a Stripe account with no publishable key on the Guesty card, or a listing whose taxes are set in Haven. Fix the first two on the Guesty card (Open the Guesty card). For taxes, open the listing's Taxes section, choose Re-sync from Guesty, and remove any tax added in Haven or applied by a property group. If Guesty was already chosen when something went missing, the same note turns red, because guests cannot pay on those listings until it is fixed.
The payment says the listing has no payment processor. Assign an active payment processor to that listing in Guesty (Financials → Payment processing). Until then the listing cannot be charged through Guesty.
The payment says the host still has to finish their Guesty payment setup. Guesty charges that listing through Stripe, but no publishable key for that Stripe account is on the Guesty card. Add it under Guest payments.
A guest with a Stripe card says their bank verification never appeared. Cards that require 3-D Secure cannot complete through a Stripe-through-Guesty checkout; the guest is asked to try another card. GuestyPay's form shows the verification step itself.
A guest says the booking can't take payment and the host has been notified. Haven charged nothing and emailed you A guest could not pay for the listing, with the reason and a button to where you fix it. The usual causes:
