The Where you'll sleep section on your public site is one card per sleepable room: a name, the beds in that room, and a photo. You manage it from Photos & Spaces — a space becomes a sleeping space when you attach beds to it, and its card shows the photos that are in that space.
This is not the same as Room Types, which group interchangeable bookable rooms on a Multi-Unit Site (for example eight identical King Suites). Sleeping arrangements describe the bedrooms and beds inside one property.
- You want guests to see each bedroom (or sofa-bed living room) with the right photo and bed list
- You imported from a PMS and rooms/beds already sync, but the photos or names on those cards need a host pass
- You built the listing in Haven and need to add bedrooms and beds yourself — Haven never invents beds from a photo
On your site, Where you'll sleep shows one card per room that has at least one bed.
- Name and photo come from the space in Photos & Spaces. The card leads with the first photo in that space; rename the space and the card follows.
- Beds come from the room record (typed beds such as "1 King bed · 1 Sofa bed", or a count such as "2 beds" when the PMS only sends a number). You can correct them in Haven even on a PMS-synced room — see If rooms sync from a PMS.
- A room with beds but no photos still appears, with a quiet placeholder — never a photo borrowed from another room.
- If no room has beds, the section is hidden. Kitchen, bathroom, and other spaces stay in the gallery; they do not appear here unless you give them beds.
The amenity bedrooms / beds counts (from your PMS or Amenities) are a separate summary. They can disagree with this list — for example Guesty counts empty placeholder bedrooms toward its bedroom total, and those rooms do not get a card until they have beds.
Photos & Spaces is the primary editor. Sleeping arrangements on Edit listing is the same list in roll-up form.
- Open the property Edit listing page and go to Photos & Spaces.
- Open By space. Spaces split into Where you'll sleep (rooms with beds, marked with a bed badge), Spaces (kitchen, outdoors, and everything else) and Unassigned (photos in no space yet). Each section collapses from its header; the title, count, and add button stay in that row.
- To add a room that has no photos yet, click Add sleeping space on the Where you'll sleep header — or Add space on the Spaces header / the last chip in the Spaces filter and choose Sleeping space. Name the room and its beds.
- Click the space's bed badge ("1 King bed") to change its beds or room type, or open the ··· menu and choose Beds & sleeping space…. From that dialog you can also Remove as sleeping space to stop listing it in Where you'll sleep (the space and its photos stay in your gallery).
- Put photos in the room. Drag photos from another row — or from Unassigned — onto the room's row. Several at once: click Select, check them, then drag, or use Move in the toolbar.
- Reorder the cards. Drag a space by its grip (the dotted handle at the left of its row) to change the order guests see — put the master bedroom first, for example. The order is yours and survives PMS syncs.
- Reorder the photos in a space. Drag photos within a row to change their order in that space; the first photo is the one the room's card leads with, and the same order opens in the card's photo viewer. Photos in other spaces do not move.
- What you can do next depends on whether rooms sync from a PMS.
Haven does not create rooms from photos. You confirm the structure:
- Choose a room type (Bedroom, Shared space, Office, and similar). The picker suggests a type from the space's name when it can.
- Enter the beds in that room (King, Queen, sofa bed, crib, and so on). At least one bed is required.
- Save. That space now appears on your site under Where you'll sleep.
To change beds or type later, open Beds & sleeping space… again, or use Edit on that row in Sleeping arrangements.
Remove as sleeping space in that dialog takes the beds off the space. The space and its photos stay in Photos & Spaces and the card leaves Where you'll sleep. Delete space on the ··· menu removes the space itself; its photos stay in your gallery as Unassigned.
Which rooms exist comes from your property management system, and Haven never adds a space of its own beside them. Each room the PMS sends is locked: its row in By space shows a Synced from {your PMS} pill. While a room is locked, its name, room type and beds follow your PMS, and you cannot rename, merge or delete it.
What stays locked depends on what your PMS sends:
- Guesty says which photos are in which room (Room Photos). Those photos are locked in their room too, with a small lock on each tile. Other photos move in and out freely.
- Hospitable, OwnerRez, Hostfully and Track send rooms but never say which photo is in which room. Every photo stays yours to move: drag photos onto a locked room, out of it, or between rooms whenever you like.
You can always add your own spaces (Add space) next to locked PMS rooms.
To change a PMS room, unlock it. Open the room's ··· menu and choose Unlock from {your PMS}… (or Unlock from {your PMS} in the Beds & sleeping space dialog). Haven says what will stop syncing, then the room is yours:
- Rename it (the PMS name is kept underneath).
- Change its beds and room type (the dialog still shows what your PMS reports).
- Merge it into another space.
- Delete it. A deleted PMS room stays deleted: the next sync does not bring it back. It is listed under Deleted spaces at the bottom of Spaces with Restore.
- Move the photos your PMS placed in it.
To hand an unlocked room back, choose Use {your PMS}'s version on its ··· menu or in the dialog. Its name goes back to the PMS's, and its beds and type return on the next sync. Photos you put in it stay where you put them.
If your PMS stops sending a room you unlocked, Haven keeps it as one of your own spaces, with your name, beds and photos.
The order of the cards is yours either way: drag a room by its grip. A room your PMS adds later lands at the end of the list.
Haven does not push room or bed edits back. A bed you fix here is right on your Haven site, and still wrong in the PMS and on any OTA it feeds — fix it there too when you can.
On import, Haven places a photo in a room only when it can do so without guessing: when your PMS says which room the photo belongs to, or when the photo's caption names a room exactly. Everything else lands in Unassigned for you — or Sort into spaces — to place. The AI only ever sorts photos into the rooms you have; it never creates another room beside them, and never moves a photo your PMS placed in a locked room.
Hospitable sends room types and typed beds but not room names, so the card title is a numbered type such as "Bedroom 1" until you unlock the room and rename it. Guesty sends names and typed beds. OwnerRez sends names and a bed count per room ("2 beds") without bed types.
To keep a locked room off your site without unlocking it, hide it from Where you'll sleep; the room and its beds stay, and its photos stay in the gallery.
A living-room sofa bed that the PMS (or Airbnb behind it) reports as its own space is imported hidden. It will not appear in Where you'll sleep unless you un-hide it. To drop it from Airbnb as well, remove the sofa / couch bed in Airbnb (or in Hospitable, if that is where you edit the listing) — Haven does not push sleeping-arrangement edits back to Airbnb.
On Edit listing, the Sleeping arrangements card (near Amenities) lists every sleepable room with its thumbnail, name, and beds.
It is a read-only confirmation of what guests will see — the editing happens in Photos & Spaces.
- Edit in Photos & Spaces opens the By space view where beds, room type, and photos are set.
- If there are no sleeping spaces yet, the empty state points you to Photos & Spaces → Add sleeping space.
- Rename the space to rename the public card (for example "Master Bedroom" or "Bunk room"). A PMS room needs unlocking first; once unlocked, your name sits on top of the PMS name and survives every sync.
- Put every photo that belongs in that room into its space so the card's photo is one of those shots. Drag them onto the row, or click Select, check them, then Move in the toolbar — the same picker as the Move button on a single photo. Merge into… on a space you added (or an unlocked PMS room) also lists these rooms, even before they have photos: it moves that space's photos onto the room's card and removes the space they came from. A locked PMS room can be a merge target.
- Sort into spaces in Photos & Spaces places photos into the rooms you already have. It does not create rooms when you have any, and never invents beds.
- A photo's tags (what it shows — the view, the coffee maker) have nothing to do with which room it is in. Changing them never moves a photo.
A completion reminder, Add photos to your sleeping spaces, appears when a room in Where you'll sleep has no photos.
- It does not change amenity bedroom/bed counts.
- It does not create bookable inventory. One property still books as one stay. For interchangeable hotel rooms, see Room Types.
- It does not guess beds from a photo, even when AI places the photo in a bedroom.
- It does not move a photo you placed by hand when AI sorts photos.
