The Marketing tab on your Host Dashboard brings your audience, your campaigns, and the revenue they earn into one place. Switch views from the sidebar: Home, Audience, Campaigns, Forms, Ads, Creative, Media Library, and Tracking.
Creative is where you generate images, carousels, and reels — the posts hosts often mean when they ask for ads. Ads is the separate screen for paid campaigns Haven runs. Media Library is the file library — everything you've made, anything you upload (including a whole folder or a zip, named after the uploaded folder), and a Logos folder that collects marks you've already uploaded on a site, collection, or brand. See Making Social Posts and Ads.
Lead capture (formerly Forms) is where you create a first-visit popup and see every Form section already on a property or group page. See Lead Capture.
Your marketing at a glance:
Your full contact list — import or sync past guests, review post-stay prompts in the Marketing inbox, and control win-back email per guest and per property. Save segments (reusable audiences like “repeat guests” or “booked via Airbnb”) as pills above the contact table; the same segments power broadcast audiences. Export downloads everyone as a CSV with stay dates and property. To bring a Mailchimp audience across, use Import contacts → Mailchimp export — see Import Mailchimp Contacts.
The Marketing inbox at the top of this view shows post-stay guest review prompts ("How was this guest?") and AI suggestions to approve or dismiss.
Two tabs, organized by when a message goes out rather than by channel — so text, WhatsApp, and social slot into the same lists as they arrive:
Automatic stay mail (instant book, request to book, inquiry, co-guest, guidebook, door code, checkout) lives on Communication → Message automations, not in Marketing — drawn as one guest journey: a timeline of the stay with each message on the day it goes out, its channels, and who it reaches, and each thing Haven does on its own — the refundable hold, the balance charge, arrival details unlocking, the door code — on the day it happens, editable right there. Edit Haven's messages, change when they send, and add your own with Add under any day. See The Guest Journey.
At the top of the journey, choose Direct bookings or {your PMS} bookings (it reads Airbnb bookings, with the Airbnb logo, when you have no PMS connected): the timeline then shows only what reaches that kind of stay. Direct bookings shows your small logo, or Haven's mark if you have not added one. Booking thread follows the view: on Direct bookings it is the guest's messages in their Haven guidebook; on {your PMS} bookings it is the Airbnb, Vrbo or PMS conversation, offered only when your PMS lets Haven post into it (not OwnerRez or Hostaway). On OwnerRez bookings, steps offer Guidebook instead, which posts the step in the guest's guidebook messages, and a note at the top says posting in the OwnerRez booking thread is not available. {your PMS} bookings never offer WhatsApp.
If you have a PMS connected (Guesty, Hospitable, Hostfully, Lodgify, or OwnerRez), Allow PMS automations on direct bookings — Choose per PMS on the Your PMS’s own automations card under Whenever this happens on the journey, with Direct bookings selected — shows who emails your Haven-site guests: your PMS's logo beside Haven's mark means both do, Haven's mark alone means only Haven does. The card's badge sums it up (Relayed or Haven only).
Haven sends those bookings to your PMS with a Haven address for the guest instead of their real email. Anything the PMS emails that guest — an automated check-in note, or a reply you type in the PMS inbox — arrives at Haven, lands on the reservation's Messages thread, and goes out to the guest as a host message in your Haven branding. Press See example inside the row to see exactly how that email looks. The guest hears from one sender and can reply in one place. Bookings that came through Airbnb, Vrbo, or the PMS itself are not affected by this setting.
For each connection the card shows one of:
Guesty, Hospitable, and Hostfully let you pick. OwnerRez is always Use both, because an email does not say whether a trigger or a person sent it — turn a trigger off in OwnerRez if you do not want it relayed. Lodgify is always Haven only, because Lodgify does not report its messages to Haven.
On Haven only, the journey is what your guests receive around a stay. Edit Haven's wording there, and add anything extra — a mid-stay check-in, a door-code reminder — with Add under the day it belongs to. See The Guest Journey.
This one goes the other way: Haven → your PMS, in the {your PMS} bookings group at the top of the journey (Airbnb bookings when you have no PMS connected). Turn it on for a PMS and every custom automation is also posted as a message in the guest's booking thread on that PMS — the Airbnb, Vrbo, or PMS conversation OTA guests actually read — for stays that came from that PMS. The email still goes out as well. Closed, the row shows Haven's mark → each PMS logo, dimmed where the push is off.
Haven's booking messages ship with starter text copy, and every message about the stay starts with its Text and WhatsApp channels on, so a guest with a phone number on file hears by text as well as email. The booking confirmed, cancelled and check-in tomorrow texts Haven always sent are those steps' Text channels, with copy you can edit — there is no separate reservation text — and you can switch any step's text or WhatsApp off on the card. Win-back, offer, points and smart-campaign messages keep text and WhatsApp off until you switch them on. New Message steps in a custom automation start with text on (with a short "we just sent you an email" note you can rewrite) and deliver to every channel that is on. On a Haven-site booking, a booking message's text goes only to guests who agreed to texts; on a PMS-synced stay it goes to the phone number the PMS shares, with no checkbox needed. Either way it stops for good the moment a guest replies STOP. WhatsApp goes to direct guests who agreed to it, never to PMS-synced stays; win-back and other marketing automations only text guests who agreed to marketing texts, and keep text off until you turn it on.
Each row shows who it goes to, then four numbers under their column titles:
Click any of those numbers to see the people behind it: who got the email, who opened it and when, who didn't open it, who clicked, who unsubscribed, and any spam reports or bounces. Search by name or email. This works for broadcasts and your own automations. Haven's built-in automations and older broadcasts show the numbers only.
Broadcast rows have icon actions to edit, send now, schedule, or delete.
Automations you built — including Haven's starters such as rate-drop and open-nights — can be deleted from the row or the editor. Delete removes the automation from the list and stops anyone mid-flight. Mail already sent is not recalled. Add a starter again from New automation. Built-in flows such as Rebooking stay on the list and can be turned off.
Click an automation to open the automation editor — a visual canvas of the trigger, emails, and delays, with analytics baked into each step. Select any step to adjust its delay or toggle it on or off, and press + to add a step of your own. Click Edit email to open the full email editor.
Broadcasts opens with a Suggested for you strip when Haven has spotted something worth sending about — a festival near a property, a notable listing upgrade. Every card names the reason it appeared, so you can judge it rather than trust it. Each one gives you two ways forward:
Dismiss clears a suggestion without sending anything.
Broadcasts can be viewed as a list or a calendar. Switch with the List / Calendar control. The calendar shows each broadcast on its send day, and suggestions appear as dashed outlines on the day they are about — so you can see the moments worth emailing about beside what you already have scheduled. Press + on a day to choose a channel. Email, text, and WhatsApp are live; social posts still show what is coming. Drafts without a day sit in Unscheduled beside the grid. See Text and WhatsApp Marketing.
The automation editor shows each automation as a top-down canvas: a trigger, the emails it sends, and the delays between them. Per-step badges show how many were sent and the open rate. The right panel configures the selected step. Use the + on any link, or the + under a step, to open Add a step: Message, Email, Text message, WhatsApp, Wait (days plus hours), or Wait for a date (a moment relative to check-in, checkout, or booking). A new step sends as soon as the automation reaches it, so put a Wait above it to delay it. Every automation shows the same menu. On Haven's built-in automations the branching steps are greyed out with the reason, and Haven's own steps cannot be deleted.
Adding an Email step opens Draft this email: describe what the step should say and Haven writes the subject and the email for that moment in the automation, or press Write it myself. On Haven's built-in automations a Message step opens it too, for its email. Afterwards the step's Email card in the right panel always carries the same button, Draft while the email is empty and Revise once it is written. Haven's own emails (the ones that came with the automation) do not have it; change those with Edit email.
The email editor is a full-page workspace:
/). On an automation, the emails in that flow. Preview-as and send-test for a booking email sit here too.Broadcasts and automation emails also have a configurable header (logo, editorial, photo hero, or photo + caption) and insertable blocks — property cards, a property grid, photo-and-text, a guest review, a gallery, stay details, and social links. See Marketing Email Editor for the full walkthrough.
Your changes autosave. Brand is the closed row at the top of the left rail — logo, colors, and type. Open it to pick a listing or collection. Changes stay on this email. Booking-message templates use the same row.
Haven automatically creates email schedules when bookings are confirmed, computing send times from check-in and check-out dates plus each email type's timing. Already-sent emails are never affected when you change a setting; scheduled emails update to match, and per-guest overrides are preserved.
