The Haven Assistant manages pricing, availability, and blocks in plain language. Instead of filling out forms or clicking through several screens, type a request like "Set base rate to $250" or "Block Dec 24–26" and the assistant proposes the change for you to accept.
The assistant is the bar pinned to the bottom of every Host page: the dashboard, a listing's Calendar, the listing editor, a reservation, a multi-unit site editor, Settings, Billing, and Reports. Every one of them can do the same things, so you never need to go to the Calendar first.
- On the dashboard or any other page, name the listing: "For Cocoa Tea Villa, block off this weekend". The assistant works out which listing you mean and proposes the block on it.
- On a listing's Calendar, that listing is the default, so "Block Dec 24–26" is enough. Name another listing ("block the 31st on Dock House too") and the change goes to that one.
- If you have several listings and do not say which one, the assistant asks first.
- Type your request. Describe what you want in natural language.
- Check the card. The assistant proposes the change as a card showing the dates, prices, or rule, and the listing it applies to whenever that is not the listing you have open.
- Accept or dismiss. Click Accept (for a block, Accept block) to apply it, Dismiss to drop it, or keep chatting to adjust.
- Undo if needed. After accepting a new block, price override, minimum stay, holiday rule, or discount code, click Undo to reverse it.
Important: Nothing is changed until you accept. The assistant only proposes changes; you always approve them first.
- "Set base rate to $250/night"
- "Add 10% weekly discount"
- "Set Thanksgiving week to $350/night"
- "What's the price for July 4th weekend?"
- "Change weekend rate to $275"
- "Block Dec 24–26 for the holidays"
- "Block next weekend for personal use"
- "Unblock the dates I blocked last week"
- "Require 3-night minimum on weekends"
- "Require 5-night minimum for the week of July 4th"
When your PMS owns the listing's calendar (OwnerRez, for example), blocks are made in the PMS, not in Haven: the assistant says so and points you there, and the PMS closes every channel while Haven mirrors the block.
- "Add a 15% off promotion for Valentine's Day weekend"
- "Create a 'Summer Sale' promotion for 10% off in June"
The AI understands many natural date phrases:
- Relative: "this weekend", "next week", "next month"
- Holidays: "Christmas", "New Year", "Easter weekend", "Thanksgiving week", "ANZAC Day", or a set like "NSW school holidays" (the assistant uses the holiday region you chose under Settings → Account & Profile → Account → Holidays & key dates)
- Ranges: "Dec 24–26", "July 4th weekend"
The assistant knows today's date in your timezone, so "this weekend" or "the 23rd" means the coming one. The card shows the exact dates it understood, so you can check them before accepting.
- Be specific when useful – "Block Dec 24–26" is clear; "Block the holidays" may need clarification.
- Check the card – Review the dates and the listing on the card before accepting.
- Use Undo – If you apply changes by mistake, Undo reverses them immediately.
- Dates with bookings – The AI cannot modify dates that have active reservations. It will explain if your request overlaps with a booking.
- PMS-connected listings – Nightly rate changes from Calendar AI follow the same rules as manual pricing. If pricing is synced from your PMS, turn on Manage pricing in Haven on the Calendar Pricing tab first. See Manage Pricing in Haven.
